Kobe Infiorata, a two-day event during Golden Week (beginning of May) in Kobe has the popular tourist spots and roads decked with flower paintings. The event started two years after the Great Hanshin Earthquake of 1995, and is modeled after a similar Infiorata event held in Genzano in Italy and Ponteareas in Spain.
