Despite the rain I decided to go to the Ueno Zoo to test out my new telephoto lens. The rain provided a nice atmosphere and it wasn't too crowded. The zoo has a large variety of animals, my favourite being the ring-tailed lemur.

If you have closed shoes and an umbrella there is nothing stopping you from visiting the zoo on a rainy day.

I love how the colours pop because of the rain. Everything looks so lush. (Photo: Michelle Madden)
