The Chiba Urban Monorail earned the Guinness World Record title, "World's Longest Suspended Monorail" in 2001. Here it is suspended above Chuo Park in Chiba City, Japan.

Children love to ride along on the Chiba Urban Monorail, especially when this kawaii designed train picks them up. Discounted Children fares are a mere 100-250yen one-way.

How cool is this? The City of Chiba, Japan, has modernized its infrastructure by implementing a suspended monorail to avoid traditional train tracks crossing busy streets or crosswalks.

Even if you're not inside the train, just waiting for one to pass above your head is a thrill.

This winding track runs along the canal in Chiba City. Can you imagine what the ride would feel like? There's a slight rock as it freely sways along the 15.2Km distance.

Connecting residential areas to public institutions in the city of Chiba, Japan, it was certified as, "The World's Longest Suspended Monorail” by Guinness Book of World Records on June 27, 2001. The rail operates two tracks totaling a distance of 15.2Km and serves 21 stations. Adult fares from 190-490yen; Children fares discounted at 100-250yen. Fun for all ages! Experience the rock as it swings freely along the bend.
