The Hagi Okan Plum Garden is home to an impressive 300 plum trees encompassing 11 varieties, and they bloom from the end of January to mid-March. A festival is held at the garden when the blossoms are at their best, and the event also includes a range of local products available for purchase, cultural performances, and traditional tea ceremony demonstrations.
If you do plan to attend, please note that the festival only takes place on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during the event window. You can check on the plum blossom flowering status via the official Hagi tourism website here.
